Permian Basin FCA Impact Awards

Impact Awards - April 30, 2017 - 3:00pm - Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center

Second Annual Permian Basin Impact Awards

The Impact Awards is an annual Permian Basin FCA ministry event that provides West Texas with a first class ceremony, at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center, to celebrate the impact of character and leadership in high school athletics. The Impact Awards also provide a way to create awareness about what God is doing locally through FCA, and to fund the ongoing ministry of FCA in the Permian Basin.

The Impact Awards recognizes 21 outstanding coaches, athletes, and FCA volunteers each year who have impacted their communities in the Permian Basin, with over $22,000 in scholarship awards. 16 male and female graduating high school seniors will receive a $1,000 scholarship for being selected as the “Impact Player of The Year” from each major sport, and one top overall “Male and Female Impact Athlete of The Year” will each receive a $2,500 scholarship.

Coaches will nominate student-athletes based on a number of criteria, beyond simply excelling in their sport, to celebrate those who have conducted themselves in a manner which reflects the 4 core values of FCA: Serving, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence. Finalists and their families will be invited to the ceremony where the winners will be announced and the $22,000 in total awards will be presented, along with an FCA Bible and an engraved award for their school's trophy case. The Impact Awards will also recognize the “Impact Coach of The Year,” “FCA Huddle Coach of The Year,” and “Life of Influence Award” for the Permian Basin area.
